oooh, "shiny"!

today i have a pretty simple post for you - two coats of "shiny" by nerdlacquer. i know there's been a lot of "drama" surrounding nerdlacquer lately, but i still love her polishes and hope everything is alright with her and her life. now, on to the polish!

two coats was sufficient for good coverage, though i'm sure you could layer it over a light blue polish if you wanted! it's glittery and unique and awesome - even my boyfriend said he liked the color!

sexy mustard nails [nerdlacquer's "gorammit"]

last night when i was painting my nails, my boyfriend [who was sitting next to me] said "that looks like mustard. like you're putting mustard on your hands." of course i immediately gave him The Look [come on ladies, you know what i'm talking about] and he stuttered something like "uhh...sexy mustard. sexy, sparkly mustard!" >.> it's the thought that counts, i guess?

the following pictures show three coats of bypass. the formula was great and is packed with square red glitter, large and small goldish hex glitter, and tiny black glitters. it is an incredibly unique color and i love it! sorry that my photos suck, but i've got a nasty cold [also thanks to my boyfriend] and didn't want to go outside, lol.

nerdlacquer - "han shot first"

by now i'm sure it's clear how obsessed with nerdlacquer i am. i mean, it's nail polish + geekery, which are like my two favorite things. it doesn't get any better! so when i heard that amanda was doing a special, harlow & co only set...well, that's all i needed to hear! but THEN i saw that one of the polishes was a star wars joke, and the other was named after a character from the x-files...so i happily spent two + hours refreshing harlow & co [the demand/increase in traffic flow made the site crash] just to get "han shot first" and "scully".

please excuse the non-matching bottle, it took some time to muster up the energy to go downstairs and grab the right one...sad!

like all nerds, "han shot first" applied beautiful. i'm wearing three coats in these photos but you could get away with two - i just liked applying it so much! it dries quickly, too. a little rough when dried, but nothing too bad. could be remedied with a top coat.

"han shot first was an exclusive for harlow & co and is sold out. it appears that it will be restocked at some point, though i have no idea way. nerdlacquers retail for 10 bucks [but it's worth it] but are 3-free and vegan.

nerd lacquer - "nebula"

"nebula" is the favorite out of the three nerds i recently purchased. i am very into space and astronomy and this nail polish captures it perfectly!

 nebula is a glittery/jelly polish with a maroon base. it has large red glitters [seen on my middle finger], small silver glitters, larger silver glitters, and many others that flash green, blue, and purple. it is GORGEOUS!

nerd lacquer polishes are available at harlow & co, ninja polish, and on amanda's etsy site...which are all sold out right now! her polishes are very popular and usually sell out within a matter of hours. luckily, all three sites above have options where you can sign up to be notified when they're back in stock :]. nerd lacquers retail for ten dollars, but they're definitely worth the price!

nerd lacquer!

i've known of nerd lacquer for a few months, and have spent countless hours going through her shop, pining after all of her polishes. well, tonight she restocked her shop and i finally bit the bullet! i bought "entirely unlike tea", "nebula", and another called "holoday sugar plum" which must have sold out shortly after i completed my order because i can't find a link to it!

i can't wait to get to get these and swatch them. eeeeeeeeeee!
