sinful colors "kissy" + "pulverized" by nailventerous.

i got kissy in my easter trade with jen's nail files. it caught my attention as soon as i opened it so i put it on right away!

two coats of kissy. so pretty and shiny! definitely wearable on it's own, but since i had just gotten my nailventerous order in the mail, i decided to try one of those polishes out!

omg! look at all those different glitters.
tiny tiny purple bar glitter, circle yellow glitters, tiny blue and purple hex glitters, larger white hex glitters, and very large purple and green hex glitters, all suspended in a base that is lightly tinted purple.. basically, IT IS AWESOME.

i love pulverized, but i think next time i'll layer it over a lighter polish. i think some of the glitter got lost in the darker color of kissy : /.

nailventerous sells out really quickly, so i recommend following her on facebook to learn when she'll be restocking!

essie's "trophy wife" ft. lacquistry's "lake placid on acid"

can we just talk about how much i freaking love lacquistry polishes? not only are the all beautiful, well made, long-lasting, and unique, but jenna is just a really great person. i bought "a friggin circus" after this polish and jessica rabbit, but she waited to ship my order and combined costs, so i was refunded a few dollars! i know some indie polish brands don't do that anymore [because it takes a lot of tedious work!], so when she offered to do that i was so impressed. anyway, on to the pictures! the following pictures show three coats of LPOA over two coats of essie's "trophy wife". HOWEVER, LPOA has a blue-tinted base and could easily be opaque on its own.

just...just look at that polish. look at those glitters. is that not one of the prettiest things you have ever seen? to let you know how much i love this polish - i've worn it for two days, and i haven't worn a polish for more than a day in months!

those glitters! LPOA has large silver, green, and blue hex glitters, smaller hex glitters of the same colors, plus tiny circular blue, silver, and green glitters. HOLY GLITTERS, BATMAN!

nice bottle shot.

and, as usual, a nice photo of mister mowgli. i guess he's really into sniffing polish lids. also, a nice shot of my living room >___<

essie polishes are available at drugstores for 8 dollars. lacquistry sells her polishes in her etsy store for 8.75, but she's usually sold out so i suggest liking her facebook page to get updates on when she's restocking.

nerd lacquer - "nebula"

"nebula" is the favorite out of the three nerds i recently purchased. i am very into space and astronomy and this nail polish captures it perfectly!
nebula is a glittery/jelly polish with a maroon base. it has large red glitters [seen on my middle finger], small silver glitters, larger silver glitters, and many others that flash green, blue, and purple. it is GORGEOUS!

nerd lacquer polishes are available at harlow & co, ninja polish, and on amanda's etsy site...which are all sold out right now! her polishes are very popular and usually sell out within a matter of hours. luckily, all three sites above have options where you can sign up to be notified when they're back in stock :]. nerd lacquers retail for ten dollars, but they're definitely worth the price!

"nail junkie" - a polish named after me?!

excuse the silly title - but i had a good laugh when i saw this polish by sinful colors was named "nail junkie". i don't know what about this color has to do with people obsessed with nail polish, but it's super pretty!

nail junkie is a glittery jelly polish with a tealish, turquoise-y base. the glitters are all round and flash gold, dark blue, and teal. application was okay - i used three coats in these photos, but as you can see my middle finger looks a little lighter than the rest. to the naked eye they look the same but the camera picks up on alllll the flaws :P. the polish did dry quickly and relatively smooth, but i would recommend using a top coat to even things out.

sinful colors polishes regularly retail for 1.99 but are currently on sale for 99 cents at walgreens!
